With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Judith M. Porter, a remarkable woman who touched the lives of those around her with warmth and love. A cherished mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend, Judy's impact resonates through the memories that we share of her, and the joy she brought to everyone who was blessed to know her.
Judy's love for music was a melody that played throughout her life. She lifted her beautiful voice up to the Lord while singing with the First Presbyterian Church of Chili Choir and spread cheer while performing with the Chili "Silver Chords" Senior chorus. Judy also loved singing in musicals and being part of community plays, but one of her favorite things was phoning her family members to sing Happy Birthday to them on their special day.
Another passion of Judy's was traveling. She found great new adventures and wonderful experiences while traveling throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Russia and Ukraine.
Young at heart, Judy would love to take her children and a carful of their friends roller skating – she even loved "boogie skating" with them. And relatives on the Porter side of the family will never forget Judy surprising everyone by doing a split in the middle of the living room at Christmas when she was in her 60's!
In her professional life, Judy was a long-time employee of Rochester Institute of Technology and Logan's Party House, and worked for Bell Aerospace in her earlier years while living in Tonawanda.
Judy's legacy is the countless lives she enriched with her kindness, generosity and love. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by her loved ones who have gone before her in the beautiful harmony of heaven above.
