Judy Sofia

ROCHESTER- Our superhero, Judy Ann (Emmick) Sofia, has fallen peacefully in her sleep after a long courageous fight with metastatic breast cancer on Tuesday May 19th 2020.

Predeceased by her husband William Sofia Sr., her parents, James Emmick and June Emmick (hall), and her brothers, Jerry and Jay Emmick.

She is survived by her children, Viola Sofia ,William Sofia, and Catherine(Terrance) Carter(Sofia), her siblings, John Hall, Joy Emmick, Janice Emmick, and James Emmick, her grandchildren, Jackie , Bridget, Moe, William and Cody, her great grandchild Mykel, and by many nieces, nephews ,cousins, and friends.

Judy was loved by all who met her and brought joy to many. She was a fighter and survivor through many struggles she faced. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She will forever be missed, but not forgotten. Our memories of her will brighten the dark days ahead. Heaven has gained another angel and the world has lost a shining star.

No services will be held at this time. There will be a life celebration in the coming months when permitted, and all friends and family will be notified.
