Julia was among the first graduating classes at Rochester General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked a long and dedicated career as an RN at RGH and St. Ann’s Nursing Home.
Julia is now reunited with her cherished sisters, Jo and Dee. She loved to swim at the YMCA, play Scrabble and Euchre, cruise in the Caribbean, take beach vacations, visit the casino, and watch the Buffalo Bills.
She was an avid reader and could often be found reading in her chair in the sunshine with a glass of wine. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Julia’s family will greet friends at a funeral mass at St. Ann’s Chapel located at 1400 Portland Avenue on Saturday, April 5th at 10:30 AM.
Interment will be private at the Irondequoit Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Ann's Parkes Family Chapel.
