Kathleen M. Walker
April 8, 1956 — March 7, 2019
Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, March 7th 2019 at age 62.
Predeceased by her father, Harry Wadsworth. Survived by children, Kindra (Shawn) Farley & Jared (Marina) Walker; grandchildren, Aurora, Luca, Emma & Nathan Farley; mother, Sarah Wadsworth; brothers, David, Phillip & Bruce Wadsworth; beloved cousins along with several nieces & nephews.
Growing up, Kathleen enjoyed camping & taking trips to the family cottage. Her relationship with nature & animals was a huge part of who she was. She passed into her children a great love and respect for animals. Kathleen always loved horses, but had a soft spot for felines. She was happy to allow her children to bring home an array of pets from cats to birds, lizards & rats.
Kathleen worked at the U of R for 20+ years and made some wonderful friends along the ways...including Patricia Oster, Beverly Daniels, Maureen & Stephanie Lomiglio. In the years after leaving the U of R she spent much of her time with her family, caring for her father & mother and pursuing her various hobbies. She loved going for walks and working on crossword puzzles. She was an avid reader and would crochet & cross-stitch.
The children in her life brought her the most joy. She was always happy spending time with or playing with her grand babies. When Emma came into her life she immediately fell into her roll of Grandma & loved her fiercely. By the time Aurora & Luca had joined the mix she was a pro. She loved Nathan as her own as well & was proud of him how far he has overcome.
While her life may not have been easy, she lived it the best she could. She made sure to give her children the strength they needed to persevere. And whether she was loved for her big heart or dis-liked for her feisty attitude, her impression was lasting. She will always be loved & missed.
Those wishing to offer condolences to Sarah Wadsworth in person, Sarah will be attending the visitation hours at 6 PM.
