Kathryn B. Kerbs

October 23, 1976 — February 15, 2023

Kathryn B. Kerbs, 46 of Irondequoit, unexpectedly passed away on February 15, 2023. Compassionate and caring Kate's hilarious humor and zest for life will be remembered with love long after her passing.

Born in Hornell, NY on 10/23/1976 to Charles "Bus" and Rose Rees, Kate was the youngest of their four children.

Kate is survived by her parents, her husband of 28 years, Andrew Kerbs, her two daughters Julia and Kathryn and her son Jacob. She is also survived by her siblings, Rich Rees, Amy Griffin (Shawn) and Jill Greening (Greg) along with several nieces and nephews.

Kate was married to the love of her life, Andy, on September 18, 1999. They went on to have three beautiful children who were the pride and joy of Kate's life. She was a wonderful mother, who had a great sense of humor but never took herself too seriously. Kate was an amazing dancer (but ONLY inside her own home where she was most comfortable showing off those moves to her family!), had a wonderful sense of humor, was artistic and crafty, Halloween being her favorite holiday she would transform their home into a Halloween horror show. People from all over would come to see the display on their front lawn, year after year.

Kate was a kind soul who always put others before herself. Anytime of day or night, you could call Kate… she never said no. She was extremely giving and got the most joy out of watching others smile from gifts she would give.

Kate attended MCC and began her career at Wegmans where she would meet her husband, Andy, before moving onto University of Rochester SMH Heart Station. Kate was a dedicated worker, who showed compassion to both her patients and coworkers.
