Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Hazel; brothers, Kenneth Best and Wayne Clark; son Donald James Best; and granddaughter, Kelly Jo Eurich.
Survived by his wife of over 70 years, Ida; sons, Keith (Debbie) Best and Douglas Best; daughters, Deborah Weller, Karen (Russell Spreeman) Bennett, and Kathleen (Kevin) Canton; grandchildren, Trevor (Ashley) Best, Morgan (Sage) Best, Luke (Anne) Best, Mary (Chris) LaDrig, Amanda Best, Meghan (Alex Miller) Weller, Michael Bennett, Julie (John Jones) Bennett, Kevin Canton and Korey Canton; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Dean (Joanne) Best; sister, Patricia (Donald) Bracy; and many nieces and nephews.
Keith served in the US Navy during WWII and the US Air Force during the Korean War. Keith's hobbies included: bowling (he was a member of the Saginaw Bowling Association for many years), spending time at the lake, woodworking/building and during his later years, pretty punch crafting for family and friends. Keith also attended his annual U.S.S. Hanson ships reunions. He and Ida also loved spending the winters in Lake Havasu City, Arizona to get away from the cold weather. After living in Michigan for 89 years, Keith and Ida moved to Rochester, New York to be close to their daughter Kathleen.
Gathering will be June 8, 2024 2:00pm at the American Legion Post 468, 344 Dorsey Road, Rochester, NY 14616. Honors will be rendered at start of gathering
