BROCKPORT- Kenneth R. Reid, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 5, 2020 surrounded by the love of his family.
Ken was born in Syracuse, NY on August 16, 1947 to the late Kenneth and Judy Reid. On May 21, 1983, he married the love of his life, Dorothy Reid. Ken and Dorothy were married for 37 years, together raising their two children. Ken's strongest passion in life was his faith in Jesus. He was always looking for opportunities to share his faith and was an active member in his church. Ken was also known for his keen interest in history. This led to him becoming a Civil War reenactor, participating in several recreations of major battles of that war. Ken believed that being involved in his local community was important and showed this by serving on the Sweden Zoning Board of Appeals for 25 years.
Ken is predeceased by his beloved son, SSG. Nicholas Reid.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy, his daughter, Susie (Brian) Sieling, his granddaughter, Nora Sieling, his sister, Pat (Doug) Reid, and several cousins.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ken's name to
Samaritans Purse and Compass Care.
