Rochester: Passed away on December 12, 2016 after a sudden short illness, surrounded by those who loved him.
Born April 17, 1923 to Albert C. Suhr and Alice L. Simon he was the second of 7 children. Ken was a WWII veteran and served in the 38th Calvary Recon Squadron. Along with other military recognitions his unit received the Presidential Citation for their defense of Monschau. Ken retired from IBEW local 86, a career that he loved.
My Dad had the best green thumb and enjoyed his garden for many years A truly special man who will be missed by all who knew him. Always the favorite brother, uncle, cousin and friend "A heart is not judged by how much you love, but how much you are loved by others." Ken is predeceased by his wife, Margaret Tardge Suhr; brothers, Robert and Albert Suhr; sister, Helen Schmidt.
He is survived by his son, Richard Suhr; daughters, Sandra Cona Buonomo (Gene), Carol Ann Suhr; brother, Frank Suhr (Joan Singleton); sisters, Arlene Fridd, Shirley Oplewski; special niece, Kathy Bremer; daughter-inlaw, Laura Suhr; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be a calling hour 2-3 PM, Friday at All Season's Chapel, White Haven Memorial Park with burial to immediately follow.
