Kenneth R. Thomas

February 13, 1929 — August 6, 2022

Kenneth R. Thomas was born on February 13, 1929 in the Tupper lake, NY area. He was one of nine children. Kenneth wore many hats. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Uncle, friend and Veteran. He was a SFC in the Army National Guard for 10 years. For many years he was a member of various shooting clubs and amassed many awards for his marksmanship. He loved to garden. He grew up an avid hunter and fisherman and even in his later years he still got out there to hunt every year. He was a fixer of all things. He was always active and on the go. If it wasn't the YMCA, kayaking, tending to his land, or senior excursions, you would probably catch him attending a concert down at the lake. One of his best talents was the years he spent behind the lens of his camcorder recoding home movies, capturing our lives and documenting our personal histories. There will never be enough words that accurately depict the amazing man he was and the light he brought to this world.

On Saturday August 6th, he passed comfortably with his daughter, Julie and his granddaughter, Alisha by his bedside. He will forever be in the hearts of those that knew and loved him. He is deeply loved and deeply missed. His stories and his signature laugh will forever be ingrained in all that knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his wife, Florence H. Thomas.
Survived by daughter, Julie Hicks, son, Robert Thomas; grandchildren, Alisha (Dan) Kelly, Luke Thomas, Aaron Thomas; great grandchildren, Ava and Hudson Kelly aka "Little Kenny"; Brother, Byron (Jean) Thomas and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to The Wounded Warrior Foundation in Kenneth's memory.
