August 12, 1939 — January 11, 2018

LaWana Jean (Chandler) Villa, 78, of Sodus, New York passed away Thursday, January 11th, 2018 at Rochester General Hospital. The Allen County, Kentucky native formerly worked in Health Care. She was a dedicated Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Sister. She attended the Sodus Bible Baptist Church as often as she was able. She was a member of Mount Union United Methodist Church in Allen County, KY.

LaWana had a love of wild violets, as a young child you would find her in the fields with her beloved sister, Mary Kathern. LaWana was a selfless, generous, kind and loving woman whom will be dearly missed by all those she touched.

She was the daughter of the late Rev. Vernon W. Chandler and the late Mildred C. (Meador) Springfield. Plus a special step father, Frederick A. Matches, also deceased. She is survived by 4 sons, Jeffery G. Law. (Darlene Redd), Mike Law (Deana), Lynn Law (Silvia) and Ken Law (Lucy); 3 daughters: Carol J. (Law) Minnick (Bob), Regeneau G. (Law) Roberts (Kenneth), all in Indiana and Sherri Lynn (Law) Lewis and husband, Kevin of Sodus, New York; sisters, Mary Kathern (Chandler) Beadle and husband, Herbert JR, of Webster, New York; Sharon G. (Chandler) Reed and husband, Mike Reed, of Louisville, KY; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Robert Paul Bernal and Misty Leagha Bernal and fiancé, Jerome Brown as well as their children, Domonic Michael, Devon James and Maddison Jean being the closest grandchildren and great grandchildren in New York. She will be missed by her several nieces and nephews.

LaWana was predeceased by one sister, Phyllis Carol Chandler.

A Celebration of LaWana's life will be held 12 PM, Friday, January 19, 2018 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd., Rochester, NY. Interment, Webster Union Cemetery.
