Leon B. Randall, 73, passed Thursday, August 20, 2015. He was born in North Hornell, New York to Leon B. and Melvena (Wemple) Randall. Former resident of Castile, New York, Hamlin and Holley, New York. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Peggy (Rath) Randall, sons Scott Randall and Alexander Bain, Randy, Bill and daughter, Marie, sister, Carolyn of Nort Carolina.
Leon retired from NY State Parks and Recreation. He was a former Park Manager of Hamlin Beach State Park and was also a Park Police Officer at Hamlin, a NYS Corrections Officer and a substitute teacher in Orleans County.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brockport, Free and Accepted Masons, as well as Scottish and York Rite. He was a member of Boy Scouts of America, Volunteer Fire Departments and Ambulance Corps in Castile and Hamlin, NY, a Life Member of Western NY Volunteer Fireman Association of NY and was a First Aid Instructor for the American Red Cross and played Santa Claus for 57 years.
He Volunteered as a Veterans Van Service Driver, delivered Meals on Wheels, Orleans County Office of the Aging and at The Cobblestone Museum in Childs, NY. He was the Past Director of Brockport Food Shelf and served on the Sweden Advisory Council.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated Sunday, August 23rd at 2PM at First Baptist Church of Brockport where a reception will immediately follow the memorial service at the church.
