Went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2023 at the age of 83.
Predeceased by her husband, Francisco Mercado-Medina; daughter, Luz Celenia; & twelve siblings.
Survived by daughter, Margarita (Joseph) Medina- Perez; grandchildren; Alex, Joey, & Victoria; siblings, Luz, Auria, & Pablo; in-laws; niece, Maria (Jose) Rivera; great-nephews, Eduardo & Fabian; many other nieces, nephews; furry companions, Roxie, Rader, & Nala; & other family & friends.
Leonida was a dedicated & nurturing woman of faith.
Family will receive friends Thursday August 31, from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremation & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd where services will be held the following day, September 1, at 10am. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Ave.
