Leslie was born on November 27, 1949. Thanksgiving had just past. It was a long weekend; a festive one. Our country breathed loved and gratitude. Joy filled the hearts of all our people.
Leslie taught as a teacher for 33 years in the mathematics field. She was also a musician. Leslie took piano lessons since she was five years old. She liked to play popular music, but had to do it when her mom was not around. She also enjoyed sports; playing on a female softball team.
Leslie was lucky to open her eyes to a world full of love and wonder. She was born to a spiritual father (a minister) and a bright, sensitive and powerful mother. There was also George, her big brother, whom she loved and admired. He was almost three when she was born. Leslie’s heart swelled as she would think about coming into a perfect family. A beautiful family.
She has now crossed over to meet her parents and grandparents once more. Leslie leaves with great love and gratitude to those that loved her and that she has loved.
