Greece, New York
Peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Lilia went home to be with the Lord and her adoring husband, Carlos. They were married for over 42 years, building a legacy together. Carlos passed this past October and it was clear that she missed him dearly.
She is survived by her daughters; Gisela (Ken) Cooke, Mary Korda, and Dalys (Michael) Zappia. Sisters; Leticia, Diva, Maria, and Josephine. Seven grandchildren; Tara, Shannon, Devon, Dominique, Christopher, Marcus, and Nicolas. Two great grandchildren; Selena and Quinton. And, one great grandchild on the way. In addition to many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Lilia was employed at Monroe Developmental Center (MDC) for over 20 years and embraced her work as an Aide with handicapped clients. This was a perfect match and it reflected her compassionate and caring soul for others. She was a beautiful and remarkable woman. A true matriach. We have all been blessed to be a part of her life.
Please join the family for Lilia's Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 3rd, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Theodore's Catholic Church located at 168 Spencerport Road, Rochester, NY. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery and immediately following, we will be gathering at Valecia's Ristorante located at 2155 Long Pond Road.
