Gates: Peacefully, at home, Saturday, May 3, 2008, at age 67, after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Fred; daughters, Laura (Leo) Porter, Catherine Ottley, Carol (Bruce) Blechl; 6 grandchildren, Heather, Kimberly, KT, Lauren, Allison, Nathan; and great-grandchild, Alana. Linda loved and played classical piano. She took lessons for many years from her mentor and friend, Lynn Lutz.

Family will receive friends on Thursday,May 8th, from 4-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where Services will immediately follow at 8 PM. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Unity Health Foundation, St. Mary's Oncology Unit, 1555 Long Pond Rd., Rochester, NY 14626-4122
