Linda O. Wainwright passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on Monday, February 15, 2021.
Linda was born in Rochester, NY on August 25, 1943 to the late Lester and Dorothy (Renouf) Ortman. She was the loving wife of Donald Wainwright. They were married for over 57 years, and together they had three children. Linda spent many years in the Spencerport Fireman's Association Ladies Auxiliary and served as President of the post. Her joys in life were horses, camping and knitting. She will be remembered mostly for her deep love of family. Linda loved her husband, children, and grandchildren more than anything in the world and would do anything she possibly could to take care of them.
Linda is predeceased by her parents Lester (Dorothy Renouf) Ortman, sister Ruby (Donald) Ellis, daughter Julie Wainwright, and grandson Jacob Wainwright.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Wainwright, her sons, Scott (Kelly) Wainwright and Todd (Jamie) Wainwright, her grandsons, Chris (Autumn Sidam) Wainwright, Chase (Averi) Wainwright, and Jeffrey Wainwright, her brother, Edward (Evie) Ortman, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 20th from 4pm to 7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 2636 Ridgeway Avenue where funeral services will follow calling hours at 7pm. Interment will be held Monday, February 22nd at 10am in Grove Place Cemetery.
