Lisa Combs Carr

Lisa passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024.

She is predeceased by her mother, Roberta Combs; father, Charles S. Combs; siblings, Bill Combs, Sherry Combs-Wismer and Charles (Sandy) Combs Jr. and niece Leta Marie Arena.

Lisa is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Carr and the beautiful family they share together. Her sister, Ann G. Jacobs, her son, Justin Parkhurst, grandchildren and a great-grandson. Her nephew, Harry J. Kolb, III whom Lisa took many trips with along the west coast, they had a special relationship. Nephews, Terry Pat (TP) Kolb, Michael Kolb and David Wismer, Les Combs, David Combs, Eric Combs, and nieces, Melissa Toner and Robin Combs.

Lisa loved to garden and to be in the garden from morning till evening. The house was full of plants. She was the "plant lady". Lisa was known for her fun-loving nature, kind heart and unwavering love for people and animals. She passionately dedicated her career to teaching special needs students, at BOCES Monroe 1. Lisa loved to volunteer, helping the homeless and the needy. Her church family was a very important part of her life.

There will be a mass held for the memory of Lisa at the Spiritus Christi Sanctuary (121 Fitzhugh N, Rochester NY) on Saturday,  December 7 at 1pm a Celebration of Life Get Together will follow at Celebration Hall at the Church at 3:00pm.
