Lois M. Bush (Ryan)

Lois M. Bush, 92, of Greece passed away peacefully on January 19, 2022 under the exceptional care of St. Ann's Community. She was born May 12, 1929 to Harold and Lois (Ochs) Michel in Greece, NY where she was raised with her two sisters and her brother.

Lois was married to Matthew Ryan in 1950. As a military wife she spent many years moving around the United States, Japan, and Okinawa with their growing family of eight children. In 1965 they divorced; in 1967 Lois married George Bush, a widower with nine children. Together they had four children. Needless to say, her full-time job for her life was as a wife and mother.

Lois is predeceased by her husband George M. Bush who passed away in 1990. She is also predeceased by her sons, Michael Ryan (2016) and Patrick Ryan (2021), her stepdaughters Constance Attridge (2005) and Joanna Ames (2019). She is survived by her sons Christopher (Melissa) Ryan, Daniel (Lori) Ryan, Francis (Lori) Ryan, Thomas Ryan, Paul (Marianne Haller) Bush, David Bush; daughters Anne (Gary) Deem, Kathleen (Stephen Mortimer) Ryan, Colleen (Bruce Pelusio) Bush, Holly (Ron) Wallner; her stepsons George (Kathleen) Bush, Robert Bush and Mark (Susan) Bush; her stepdaughters Georgianna (Michael) Dunn, Diana (Robert) Windrum, Mary Jane (Terry) Kreuzer, and Dawn Campbell. Lois is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Ruth (Frank) Pawli, Marilyn (Bernard) Boss and her brother John (Isabel) Michel.

The family plans to celebrate their mother's life with a memorial and gathering on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m.
