Lois O. Brown - Holmes

Rochester - Lois O. (Brown) Holmes passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday 12/13 just as she wished for. Lois is predeceased by her soulmate James Brown and her partner in crime her daughter Leticia Strachan.

Lois is survived by her children, daughter, Linette Hall, son James (Shelia) Brown, Daughter Lisa(John) De Jonge and Son Jerome( Loretta) Brown. Her grandchildren, Latasha(Greg), Joseph( Sharonda),Donnie, James, Jeremy, Jamar, Laquanda( Alton), Jordon(Jasmin), Lynn(Jake) Lydia, Loren, John, Lacey, Steven, Jihael,Saevond, Jerome, Jared, and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by her best friend of many years, Olivia Ward and many other close family and friends.

Lois lived life to the fullest and always had a great time. Her most favorite past time was going to the casino, sometimes dragging along an unsuspecting family member for the ENTIRE day.

Lois also enjoyed fishing, thrift shopping and Knitting the only thing she knew how to make…Hats! If you had the pleasure of knowing Lois well than we can be sure you own a hat made by her. Lois loved nothing more than hanging out with her family, in particular her many beloved grandchildren. Spending quality time with her grandchildren was something that Lois truly cherished.

Lois loved spending time with her adored companion, Chance (Little Dog), she enjoyed taking him everywhere she went and dressing him in sweaters.
Lois will be greatly missed by every person she came in contact with. In her memory please go wild in a casino, eat a soft peppermint candy, enjoy an ice cold sprite or eat some breyers vanilla ice cream and live life just like Lois did without regret.

Family will receive friends 10 AM - 1 PM Monday, December 21, 2020 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where her Graveside Service will follow at Falls Cemetery, corner of Ridge Rd. & Latona Rd.
