Lorene Ethel Dickerson (Kenney) was born October 7, 1942 in Seneca Falls, NY and was the eldest child to loving parents. As a young girl her family moved to Rochester, NY where she would grow up, start her own family and reside for more than 65 years. Sadly on October 27, 2018, Lorene passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.

Lorene was predeceased by her parents Norman E. Kenney, Sr. and Burgene I. Kenney; her husband of 38 years William "Bill" Dickerson
She is survived by her loving brothers Norman E. (Diana) Kenney, Jr. of San Francisco, CA. and Ronald (Lila) Kenney of Austin, TX., her sons; Derek Kenney, Donald Jackson, Lodain (Helen) Elliott, Mark (Yi) Elliott, and Todd (Charlyn) Elliott. Daughters; Donita Jackson and Jackie Amons, all of Rochester, NY. 19 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

Lorene loved her family and enjoyed every minute with them. She especially enjoyed the trips to the park with her husband Bill..she would sit for hours listening to music while he painted pictures of nature. She was artistic in her own right and loved knitting, crocheting and creating various craft items. These would often become memorable gifts that she gave to family and friends.

Towards the end of her life, she really got into watching political television shows and was quite vocal about her views and opinions. She enjoyed comedies and had quite a collection of movies and albums.
She had a special long time neighbor and friend Mary, and thoroughly enjoyed being godmother to Mary's grandchild Miani.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers and gifts, please forward contributions to:
