Monday, April 17, 2006 at age 51. Predeceased by her parents, Bryan & Eleanor Schaefer. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Daniel Engel; daughters, Katie & Karen Engel; brother, John (Shelly) Schaefer; sister, Carolyn (Edward) Engel; brother-in-law, John Engel of Washington, ME; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Engel of Camden, ME and Mary Engel; mother-in-law, Rita Engel; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends as well as Murray & Libbie. Lorraine worked at Genesee Hospital and Rochester General Hospital for over 30 years.
Family and friends may call Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Lorraine's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 AM at St. Boniface Church, 330 Gregory St. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450.
