Lucy B Sisson of Rochester, New York passed away early Thursday morning, December 29, 2016, at the age of 93. A daughter of the late Ivan Bliss and DeFrancis Adams, she was born July 12, 1923, in North Plymouth, New York. She was the middle child among seven, with three older sisters and three younger brothers. Lucy was married to Howard Sisson in 1946, and together they shared life until his death in 1989. Lucy was kind, practical-minded, industrious, and of an upbeat personality. She enjoyed being a good homemaker, was well-read in many areas of business, and found happiness in helping the elderly and those less fortunate. She loved children, wholesome social activities and gardening. Lucy was an active member of the Megiddo Church of Rochester, New York, until she was stricken with a type of vascular dementia in 1998, from which she never recovered. She is survived by her youngest brother Roger Bliss, of New Berlin, New York; a daughter, Ruth Sisson, of Rochester, New York, and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 31, at the Megiddo Church Home assembly room, Pastor Gerald Payne officiating. Interment will be in Mt Hope Cemetery.
