Lynn Powell Jr.

Lynn Powell passed away on November 29th, 2022, at the age of 54. Lynn is predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy Powell, sister, Debra Powell, and his brothers, Otis Powell and Anthony Powell.

Lynn (DJ Hub) always enjoyed being around his loved ones and friends. He always found a way to bring people from different walks of life together through music.Through music he was able to touch many lives throughout the city. Some of his greatest joys were learning history, good food, good music and helping those in need. He has always been a hard worker if there was ever anything he could do to help he was there. One of his greatest abilities was bringing people together by making jokes and lightening the mood with laughter. We would be remised if we did not say DJ Hub was legendary.

He leaves to cherish in his memory his mother Lois Walker, and his father Lynn Powell Sr., his children Enigma Powell, Enasia Powell, Nazcer Powell and Lanaiya Powell. Four nieces Lakeema Gunter (Ronald), Lakisha Powell, Dominque Powell, and Niasia Jean, Three nephews Demetrius Powell Raheem Gunter and Lamar Hadley. He also leaves a host of Aunts, Uncles, family, and friends.

Calling hours will be held at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 1772 Clifford Ave Rochester NY, 14609, on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 10am-12pm, with a service to immediately follow.
