Passed away on January 5, 2025 at the age of 87.
Predeceased by her parents, Domenic & Cecelia DelVecchio; brother & sister in law, Michael (Norma) DelVecchio; brother & sister in law, Donald (Arlene) DelVecchio.
She is survived by her children, Joseph (Jill) Coppeta, Lisa (Jeffrey) Fleming, Celia (Ray) Bicek, Kathy (Mark) Williams, John Coppeta, Christopher Bicek, Christine Coppeta & Kelly Coppeta; grandchildren, John, Nicholas, Laura (Nick), Jeffrey, Christian, Zachary, Sean, Emily, Michael & Andrew; brother, Richard (Pia) DelVecchio; many nieces, nephews & cousins.
A person of profound devotion, Madeline was a selfless individual whose heart was always open to her family. A steadfast Catholic, her unwavering faith guided her through life's challenges and triumphs, instilling in her a sense of purpose and grace that she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. As a mother, the happiness and well-being of her children were of utmost importance, and she dedicated herself fully to nurturing them with love and encouragement. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart; her eyes would light up at the mere mention of their names, and she celebrated every moment spent in their presence.
Madeline found joy in simple pleasures, including her frequent Bingo trips with her friends, which brought laughter and camaraderie into her life. Traveling with her family was another passion, as she delighted in exploring new places and creating unforgettable memories together. Family gatherings served as a cornerstone in her life—these occasions were significant for her, a time when she felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and happiness surrounded by those she loved.
A Mass in her honor will be held on January 11, 2025, at St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, located at 55 Martha Street, Spencerport, NY, starting at 11:30 AM. This service will celebrate the remarkable legacy of Madeline, a woman who truly embodied the spirit of selflessness and devotion.
Madeline leaves behind a family that adored her and friends who admired her. Her memory will be eternally cherished, and her loving spirit will continue to guide us all as we carry her legacy in our hearts. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her love will resonate through the many lives she touched.
Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Avenue.
