Rochester - Born on January 2, 1919, in Torrington CT, to parents Anna and George Bakunas; passed away on January 18, 2019. Marcella celebrated her 100th birthday on January 2nd with her family and friends singing Happy Birthday as well as Blueberry Hill to her delight.
Predeceased by her husband, Edward F.; brothers, George and William; sisters, Mary, Martha and Regina.
Survived by her daughter, Mary Ann; sons, Charles (Samana Lake) and Edward D.; sisters, Frances (Steve) Beres and Nellie Vestali; grandchildren, Aaron, Angela, Carrie and Nathan; great grandchildren, Adam and Riley Keith; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Marcella will be remembered for her generosity, kindness towards others, good sense of humor and fondness of jelly donuts.
She wanted people to know that she always tried to treat everyone fairly.
Her Graveside Service will be held 9:30 AM Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (Meet at the Lake Ave. Gate), 2461 Lake Ave.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the American Heart Association.
