A heartfelt Thank You to the compassionate staff and the Maplewood Nursing Home who became her extended family.
Aunt Marge worked for Eastman Kodak for over 35 years and was one of the very first women to become a member of Kodak's Management Club. She volunteered at the Mary Cariola Children's Center for over 15 years.
Aunt Marge lived her life out loud with a twinkle in her eyes, a warm and winning smile, and an infectious laugh. She was a natural comedian and always enjoyed making people laugh. She truly was the life of the party.
To borrow a quote from Fred Rogers; Is there somebody who loved you into existence, who loved you so much that you became who you are right now? Who taught us how to love, who accepted us exactly as we are? Who told us that we were special and gave us that foundation of confidence and benevolence that we would not have had if they had not been in our lives? That somebody was Aunt Marge.
It is her love of family and so many friends that will leave the deepest footprints in our hearts. Our lives are forever transformed by her love, compassion, humor and generosity. Out of the sadness of death arises a wonderful legacy of memories and those memories become treasures.
Because safety was of the utmost importance to Aunt Marge, there will be no services until we can gather safely. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to WXXI, Mary Cariola Center or Lifetime Assistance Inc.
