Marie Montgomery

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Montgomery of Pittsford, who left us on September 5, 2024. Born on February 26, 1926, Marie lived a fulfilling life that was cherished by many, and she will be deeply missed.

Marie was a beacon of love and cherished her family more than anything in the world. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and love, reflected best in her absolute devotion to her children and grandchildren. She loved celebrating the holidays with her family and each holiday season, Marie's kitchen filled with the sweet aroma of her famous cutout cookies, an enduring tradition that brought joy to every occasion.

Marie is survived by her two sons, Donald and Richard Montgomery; her daughter-in-law, Margaret Montgomery; her granddaughter Elena Montgomery and her two grandsons, Philip and David Montgomery. Each of them holds dear the essential role that Marie played in their lives. Her spirit and love will continue to live on in them.

A graveside service for Marie will be held on September 11, 2024, at 2PM at the White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd. Pittsford, NY 14534.  Following the service, from 2:30PM - 5:30PM, a celebration of Marie's life will be held at the Underpass Bar & Grill, where family and friends can share stories, tears, and laughter in Marie's honor.

Marie's life was filled with love, laughter, and a deep devotion to her family values. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards and games. Marie often finished her days with a whiskey sour on the patio with her beloved late husband, Elbert. The two shared a love of traveling and saw much of the world cruising together. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her life and the beautiful memories she left with us. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
