ROCHESTER - Passed away peacefully at the age of 102 on Sunday, March 1, 2020. The youngest of nine children, Marie was born on Jun 25, 1917 and graduated from Jefferson High School in Rochester. She then pursued a career in bookeeping with Wieder's hardware store for many years until she opted for a position with Rochester Telephone Company from which she retired. She was always good with numbers and kept her finances and records in perfect order and balance. With her husband Carman (deceased in 2002), Marie had 3 children during her working career and was a meticulous housekeeper and a baker to rival Betty Crocker, her collection of dog eared cookie recipes are still in use by daughter Linda and many others in the family today. She loved cooking for her family, keeping her home pristine, and a glass of wine was a welcome respite once everything was in order. She loved going out to lunch or dinner and was well known and loved at numerous local eateries. Even at 100 yrs old, she had the spunk of a lady half her age and was always perfectly groomed and attired. She was also a devout Catholic and contributor to numerous charities.
Marie is survived by her 3 children; Linda Sidoti Maiuri, Carl T. Sidoti, and James A. (wife, Luba) Sidoti; all of Rochester, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
