Predeceased by her parents Lida and Edward Murtha & sister Mary Pat; daughters Erica Apelgren, Carol Scheg, Ellen Bowen and her ex husband Carl E. Apelgren.
Beloved and deeply loved mother of six daughters, grandmother of 12 and 16 great grandchildren.
Survived by her daughters, Christine Dack, Susan Poggi & Gretchen (Ruby) Cicero, and brother Bill (Lucia)Murtha, niece, nephew, many cousins and her beloved pet Sonny.
We are forever blessed to have had her with us for so many years.
Marilyn grew up in Oswego NY and moved to Greece NY to raise her family. Marilyn was a longtime retiree of Delco GM, and was a loving mother and grandmother.
She loved to host all Holidays and enjoyed cooking, shopping and traveling with friends and her daughters.
She loved to decorate her house.
Mom you will live on in our hearts forever.
We love you. In memory of her generosity and kind spirit to everyone whose life she touched, we ask everyone to give a hug to those you love.
Marilyn was very independent and active until the past few years when her health declined.
Marilyn's energy, charm and love of life impacted many people near and far, and we are forever blessed to have had her with us for so many years.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Saturday October 2nd, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church 3003 Dewey Ave. Rochester NY.
Interment immediately following her Mass at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
