Marilynn E. Nilsson (Monahan)
Entered life September 4, 1942, continuing her journey until January 2, 2025, after 82 years of life passing peacefully by natural causes with family by her side.
The daughter of Roger and Marilynn Monahan of Greece, NY, the eldest sibling of four, Walter, Carl and Connie, mother of Timothy and Kenneth List, many nephews and nieces, grandma of William List and Rebecca Johnson, great grandma of two wonderful great-grandsons, and a dear friend to many.
Marilynn was not only a daughter, sister, mother and grandmother, but a valued friend to all those with whom she came in touch.
A woman dedicated not only to her family and friends but also the true meaning of life, always there with open arms of support and a pure heart of caring concern, touching so many be it as a nurse or loved one. She dedicated her life to all those around her without judgment, but rather understanding. No matter which challenges life handed her, she proved to be a true warrior and an individual taught by example the deeper meaning of life in which inspired us all to be a better person.
Although we will all miss her handwritten notes, special occasion cards and definitely those delicious homemade cookies, we will all miss her wonderful spirit, gentle smile and loving care most of all.
Although she will always be in our hearts, she is now with those who have gone before and is embraced in the loving hands of God.
Do not cry but rather rejoice to have had the honor of having her in our lives.
Rest in peace, dear friend. The love you shared with us will always be cherished and never forgotten.
