Mark C. Borton, 64, of Rochester, NY, passed suddenly on December 3, 2018 at his Spencerport home.
Mr. Borton was born September 21, 1954 in Manhattan, NY and grew up with his biological sister, Christina in Fort Wayne, Indiana with their adoptive parents Corinne and Charles Borton. In his later years, Mark and his sister, Chris were able to locate members of their extended family including sisters, Caro Marks; Octavia Anderson and Amber Higgins.
He attended Central Catholic in Fort Wayne, Indiana before enlisting in the Navy where he served his Country during the Vietnam War. As an adult he continued his education at Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY where he studied Communications and then obtained his Credentials as an Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor. He was proud of the work that he did while employed at the Salvation Army Booth Haven and at the Veterans Outreach Center Richards House.
Mark loved motorcycles, fast cars, writing lyric sheets, baseball (Yankees), and football (Broncos); but none of those came before his love of family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Charles Borton and niece, Alicia Newby

Children, Sara Miles, Eric Borton, Shea Butter, Kassaundra Austin-Rath, Nathaniel Nasello, Alexander Smith;
5 Grandchildren;
Great niece and nephews, Deidre (Daniel) Turner, DaCoda Hughes and Virgil Newby;

Family and friends are invited for viewing on Wednesday December 12, 2018 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals from 4 to 6:30pm with a short memorial and time to share at the funeral home at 6:30pm. Friends are invited to bring a snack and join afterwards at Lorraine's home for fellowship.
