Mark C. Goole, age 63, from Rochester, NY, passed away on May 30, 2024. He was born on March 2, 1961, in Rochester, NY.
Sarge, as he was affectionately known, proudly served in the US Army 1/504 Airborne Infantry B+LN, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC.
In addition to his military service, Mark had a successful career as a carpenter and grill master alongside his wife Amy in their business. His craftsmanship lives in many homes, and spaces. His hands have left their mark on everything he touched; his pride and skill, immeasurable.
He is survived by his family - Amy, Emily and Savannah, mother Sandra, and siblings Tom, David, Doug, and Debbie. Marks circle was wide, and he created a larger family around himself, with those he chose and loved.
Mark found his peace in the woods, where his connection with his surroundings was shared through his enthusiasm and knowledge. His time was spent fly fishing, kayaking, and appreciating what the natural world has to offer.
He can easily be seen, and felt, in every river stone, every bird, and every tree. When seeking a moment with Mark, one has only to step outside.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 11:30 am - 2:00 pm, immediately follwoing at 2:00 pm will be his Army, military honors service, at Ellison Park (Island Pavillion), 395 Richs Dugway Rd, Rochester, NY 14625.
Following his memorial gathering, the family welcomes friends to continue celebrating his life from 3:00 pm- 7:00 pm at The Alexander, 282 Alexander St, Rochester, NY 14607. More details to come.
