Mary Ann had a zest for life and strived to live it with purpose and joy.
Mary Ann brought joy to those around her throughout her life. When Mary Ann laughed, she filled up a whole room. Her life was marked with kindness. Mary Ann loved her family dearly. Her dear parents Bill and Evie were strong advocates throughout her life. Her brother Tom organized Zoom get togethers each Wednesday which brought together family from all over the USA to catch up and chat with each other. This tradition was something Mary Ann looked forward to each week. While in the hospital,
Mary Ann was a part of ARC of Monroe for many decades. Since 2007, she attended Ballantyne day habilitation program. She also enjoyed participating in the bell choir there and performing. She loved volunteering, cooking, gardening, and doing arts & crafts. She formed many friendships there and loved learning sign language. Mary Ann loved life. She enjoyed putting together puzzles. Her family sent her puzzles made from photos of Mary Ann, her family and friends from Hillrise.
Mary Ann had a passion for organizing greeting cards for "A Second Thought." When finished organizing a set of cards, she loved to deliver them and ask for more cards to sort. She absolutely enjoyed "The Golden Girls" show almost every day. She also loved leading a "workout" at home or by the pool with her housemates. Mary Ann moved into Heritage Christian Services to her home on State Road in 1986. She moved to her home on Yorktown Drive in Webster in 2000. Mary Ann was very close with her housemates there, and they decided to move together into a ranch style home on Hillrise Drive in Penfield in 2006. At Hillrise, Mary Ann developed strong relationships with many of her housemates and her staff. She will be dearly missed by all.
