Mary Ann Nolan of Schenectady, NY passed away on November 22, 2022 after a brave battle with cancer, where she beat every odd, at 64 years of age.
She was born on February 4, 1958 in Saratoga Springs, NY to Daniel and Emma Wilson. Mary Ann grew up in Rock City Falls and graduated from Ballston Spa High School in 1956.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Nolan.
She is survived by her two children, Kurt D. Nolan and Ginger E. Henderson, and her three grandchildren: Levi, Nathaniel, and Ottilia Henderson.
Mary Ann spent many years working at the Burnt Hills Cafe serving up smiles. Anyone who frequented the cafe learned about Mary Ann's love of music, her family, and her incredible dedication to her customers who became like family.
Mary Ann spent most of her life taking care of others, and was fortunate enough to be cared for by the Teresa House in Geneseo, NY at the end of her life. Her family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to the Teresa House.
Mary Ann's favorite movie was the Wizard of Oz. Those who knew Mary Ann will agree that, a heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others. Mary Ann is one of the few people who leave this life having been loved by everyone who knew her.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY 12205, on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 11am-1pm, with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
