Brighton- Mary Jane "Mimi" Schnur, 67, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 surrounded by the love of her husband.
Mimi was born in Rochester, NY on January 2, 1954 to the late Robert and Lois Taylor. On July 4, 2000 Mimi married the love of her life, Paul Schnur. Mimi worked as a social worker and special ed. teacher at Mary Cariola in Rochester. She will be remembered for her love of knitting, quilting, and reading. Mimi loved spending time with all her pets, especially her dogs, Ruby, and Daisy, and her cat, Rocky.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, her children, Melanie Schnur, and Adam Schnur, her granddaughter, Juliette, her siblings, Greg (Bernadette) Taylor, Peter (Thanes Vanig) Taylor, and Michael (Mary) Taylor, her nieces and nephew, Chelsea (John) Cullum, Hannah (Sam) Davidson, and Ian (Jamie) Taylor. She is also survived by Billy Young, for whom Mimi was loving guardian over the last 10 years.
Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
