Mary Ellen Mason

Maryellen Mason (nee Coffey) passed away peacefully on November 2nd, 2020 on All Souls Day. She is the beloved wife of William "Bill" and devoted mother to Dawn Mitchel, Lance Mitchel, Ryan Mitchel and William "Billy" (Amanda) Mason . Cherished daughter of Marjorie Coffey. Loving Grandmother to Anthony Mitchel, Maryellen Mitchel, Noelle Mitchel and William "Liam" Mason. Dear sister to Michael Coffey, Lonnie (Dennis) Zimmerman and Brian Coffey. Loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard "Dick" Coffey and brother Richard "Rick" Coffey.

Maryellen was a gentle soul who touched many lives. She had the ability to light up a room with her smile. Her passions in life were raising her children, creating her beautiful gardens (her green thumb was something to envy) and taking care of others. She was a caregiver to the elderly, a friend to lean on in times of need, but most importantly she was a loving, caring devoted mother to her four children who loved her endlessly. She will be greatly missed but her legacy will live on in her children and grandchildren. While her life was cut short, her memory will live on forever.

Visitation Hours will be held on Sunday, No­vember 8th from 2-5PM at New Comer Crema­tions & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Private Interment.

Gathering size, within our cha­pels will be based on the most current NYS oc­cupancy requirements. Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
