Greece: Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at age 89. Predeceased by her loving husband, Ernest; and brother, John Matwyshen. She is survived by her nephew, Richard Matwyshen; grandniece, Suzanne (Paul) Matwyshen-Gillen of Washington, DC; sister-in-law, Marion Wowkowych; brother-in-law, William (Laura) Kubanka; and also many other nieces and nephews. Mary was a retiree of Bausch & Lomb and in her spare time enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, arts and crafts.
Family and friends may call Friday 4-7 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 12:30 PM at Our Lady of Mercy Church (Denise and Armstrong Rd). Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1650 South Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620 in Mary's memory.
