Mary Maloney Porter

Mary Maloney Porter, age 88, surrounded by her loving family through Christmas week, died peacefully on December 30, 2023.
Mary is predeceased by her parents, siblings, husbands, and sons. She is survived by her three children, Teresa Boardman (Fred Kohlmeier), Deborah (Daniel) Kenyon, and Gregory Filkins; grandchildren Ryan, Sean, and Anna; sisters-in-law Linda and Mary; nephews, nieces, and extended families.
She loved her time and experiences with family and friends leaving unique and special memories for all. She was an avid gardener, quilter and seamstress; had an eye for color, thoughtful and creative, and enjoyed cooking and baking; and much loved the water. A friend to many, to listen or encourage. She will be missed in a deep and heartfelt way.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 534 Oxford St. (corners of Oxford St. and Monroe Ave.)
In lieu of flowers, and those wishing to make a donation in her memory, may contribute to the Blessed Sacrament Church Supper Program, 259 Rutgers St., Rochester, NY 14607 or UR Medicine Hospice, 2180 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY 14580.
