Passed away on, October 26, 2022 at the age of 86.
Maryanne was dedicated to education. She was a proud alumni from Nazareth Academy ('54) and Nazareth College ('58). Maryanne enjoyed teaching chemistry at Geneseo Central School District. She devoted many years as the Associate Director of Admissions at Nazareth College. She was active in St. Joseph's Parish in Penfield, NY. Volunteered for League of Women Voters.
Maryanne enjoyed bird watching. Vacationing at Alleghany County and the St. Lawrence River with family and friends brought her much joy.
Predeceased by her husband, Charles G. Mudge; parents, Merritt A. and Margaret Woodward; brothers, James and Daniel.
She is survived by her son, Charles E. Mudge, daughter, Kathryn (Jim) Lawton; grandchildren, Kathryn, Valerie and Michael; great grandchildren, Philip and Scott; brother, Robert Woodward; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, November 1st from 4-8PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Boulevard. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, November 3rd at 10:30AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd, Penfield, NY 14526.
Private Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Pluta Cancer Center, 125 Red Creek Drive, Rochester, NY 14623 in Maryanne's memory.
