Maureen Carey Hendel

August 23, 1936 — February 6, 2023

Passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2023 at the age of 86.

Predeceased by her daughter, Robyn D'Amico and sister Joan Bunge.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Kenneth T. Hendel; brother in law, Richard E. Hendel; daughter April Hendel; son Andrew (Dina) Hendel; grandchildren, David Schneeberger, Jason (Suzanne) Schneeberger, Spencer (Erin) Hendel, Andee (Luke) Burton, Skylar D'Amico & Junior; great grandchildren, Ian, Rylee, Bear, Junah, Noah & Reagan.

Maureen worked for, Kodak and the Rochester City School District/Pre Twix Program. She was a Girl Scout Leader, and on the boards of the YMCA and Pop Warner Football.

She loved her snowbird friends in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach, Alabama. She was an active member of the
New York Snowbird Club & the Domino Club.

She will be fondly remembered by her many friends.

Calling hours Saturday, Feb. 11th, 3pm to 6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd.
