Working in retail for many years, Maureen opened The Party Starter party store in the 1980s and opened Out and About, a transportation and assistance service in the 2010s, meeting the needs of the elderly in the Rochester area. Her clients became friends, and many found their way to Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners around her family table.
