Maxsene was born to the union of the late Minister L. C. Breedlove and Dorothy Lee Dudley-Breedlove on June 20, 1945 in Winter Garden, Florida. The family moved to Marion, NY in 1953.

To this union 15 children were born. Uzara (deceased), Maxsene, Lavonne, Rose Lee, Lenward, Jessie, Benjamin (deceased), Darryl (deceased), Lewis (deceased), Nathanial (deceased), Gretchen (deceased), Lydia (deceased), Deborah, Roderick, Jeffrey, Marvin (deceased) & Richard (deceased).

Maxsene attended school in the Williamson Central School District where she obtained her high school diploma. She continued her education at Rochester Business Institute, John Robert Powers Finishing & Modeling School, Monroe Community College, Rochester Institute of Technology, Empire State College and Cornell University.

Maxsene was formerly married to Donald Hanks (deceased) in 1964. One child, Monica L. Hanks, was born to this union.

Maxsene accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a very early age and has served and lived her faith throughout her life. She was an active member of several churches over her lifetime but her current church home was In Christ New Hope Ministries, Inc.

Maxsene's professional career and community involvement were vast. Her employment included Action for a Better Community, Baden Street Settlement of Rochester, The Salvation Army, S.W.A.N., Iroquois Job Corp., 25th LD Election Coordinator and CONEA. Her extensive community and fraternal organization involvement is included as a separate insert.

She leaves to cherish her memory is her only child, Monica L. Hanks, Grandchildren – Jimmie Lee Simmons and Wildon Ivey; her God Children – Sonya Brinson-Lawhorn, Lawrence Brown, Dr. Frederick L. Caldwell, Lesha Clay, Bishop Willie F. Davis, Gail Ellis, Angela Gaines-Palmer, Tatiyanna Greene, Patricia Lloyd-Williams, Steve Murphy, Ronota Pierce, Gina Robinson, Shari Robinson, Sean Robinson; Brothers — Lenward (Virginia) Breedlove, Jesse (Martha) Breedlove, Rodrick (Pamela) Breedlove, Jeffery Breedlove; Sisters - Rose Breedlove-Boatwright, Lavonne (Stenneth) Breedlove-Barnaby, and Deborah Ann Breedlove. Uncle: George (Gomel) Breedlove; Aunt(s): Joyce Breedlove, Ludie Bea Breedlove-Smith, Grace Dudley, and Ethel Lee Gardiner; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; Special friends – Yolanda Richards and Margaret Wilkerson.

Friends and family may call 10:45 am -11:45 pm at In Christ New Hope Ministry, Inc., 155 Pinnacle Rd, Rochester, NY 14623 (South of Jefferson Rd.) Funeral Services will begin in the Sanctuary of the church at 12 noon following visitation. For those not attending, you may go to YouTube and look for:
