Predeceased by her parents, brothers, sisters and a host of friends.

Survived by her Daughters; Pam (David) Kaufman, Zoe (Steve) Kirton.
Grandchildren; Daniel, Erika, Leah, Brittany, Evan. Great Grandchildren; Korrie,
Sydney, Zackary and Jordan. Sisters; Odessa (Henry) Lybrand. Brothers; Larry (Elsie) Brown,
Emanuel (Mary) Brown, Sterling Brown, George (Aljean) Brown. Many nieces and nephews, loving friends.

Melba was born in 1934 in Pinehurst, NC. She was the Valedictorian and captain of her High School basketball team.
She was the ninth child of thirteen, born to William and Lula Mae Brown. Melba loved and worshiped the Lord, a long time member of The House of Prayer and also a member of The Spencerport Assembly of God.
Melba enjoyed spending time and caring for her family. Professionally she assisted in operating a major company, she was an Administrative Assistant for the Federal Government and for Eastman Kodak Co. She attended university in Washington, DC.

Family will receive friends for her funeral service Monday, September 17, 2018 at 1:30pm at Newcomer Cremations and Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd. (corner of Culver Rd.) Interment will be held in Taylortown, NC at the convenience of the family.
