Melvin E. Kiner

Passed February 3, 2024 at the age of 65.

Predeceased by his father, Roosevelt Kiner & brother, Ralph Kiner.

Survived by his mother, Margaret Kiner; children, Chandrea Brown, Melvin Council, Marquise Kiner, & Jemel Kiner; grandchildren, Melvin Council Jr., Mel'ziyah Council, Ariel Council, India Council, Xavier Johnson-Kiner, & Skylynn Ellis; great grandson, Rylo Jethro Harris; siblings, Alice Everett, Cassandra Kiner, & Renee Kiner; a host of nieces, nephews, other family, & friends.

Melvin was an exceptional basketball player. He was a loving father, grandfather, & son. Melvin was a great protector. Melvin Served in the United States Navy.

Melvin meant a lot to many different people each one he had a unique relationship with. He would give his last to anyone who needed help.

Calling hours will be Wednesday February 14, 10-12pm with service following 12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd. Burial following at Riverside Cemetery.
