Predeceased by his wife, Patricia Ann Bruns.
He is survived by his son, Robert (Cindy) Bruns; his daughter, Laura (Paul) Ostrowski; 4 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends 4-7PM Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (corner of Long Pond Rd.). On Wednesday morning October 18, 2017 at 9:30AM friends may meet at the main gate of White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford, NY 14534 for Graveside Services, Full Military Honors to follow by the US Air Force and the Monroe County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers friends wishing may make contributions to the American Heart Association, 25 Circle St., Rochester, NY 14607 in Melvin's memory.
