"Dudy"
Rochester: Went to be with the Lord after a brief illness December 17, 2008. She is predeceased by her parents, John & Flora (Mayer) Schmitt and sister, Doris Schmitt. She is survived by her brothers, Eugene (Mary Lu) Schmitt of OH, Donald (Mary) Schmitt and Kenneth (Diane) Schmitt; many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and dear friends. Mel was retired from Xerox where she oversaw the Print Shop. She was a life member of The Church of The Annunciation. She loved her Lord and animals. She will be sorely missed.
Family and friends may attend calling hours 4-7 PM Friday, December 26th at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. A Memorial Mass will be held 10 AM Saturday, December 27th at The Church of The Annunciation, 1754 Norton St., Rochester, NY 14609. Inurnment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
