Spencerport: Went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 2, 2009, at age 48, surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his mother, Carmela Richards. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 8 years, Kimberly Richards (Chalmers); father, Albert Richards; sons, Joshua & Jeremiah; daughters, Jessica, Rebekah, Rachel and Chance; sister, Cheryl (David) Rivera; brother, Joseph Richards; nieces & nephews, Renata Rivera, Josh, Ryan, Emily, Elijah, Makenna, Ethan, Eliana, Levi, Daniel, Brooke and Brenna Chalmers; special friend, Rob Ryan; and many loving members of his church family.
Michael was a passionate minister of the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ, both in formal ministry and in lifestyle. His life was characterized by radical obedience and because of this God used him to touch many people. He has served the body of Christ in many capacities, including pastoring, eldership, teaching and many forms of outreach. Michael's final act of obedience was the writing of his book, Living Without the Veil, which was published prior to his death.
Family and friends may call Friday, October 9, from 4-8 PM at Bethel Christian Fellowship, 321 East Ave., where Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 10th at 11 AM. Interment, Lakeview Cemetery, Brockport. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor Mike's commitment to love and serve the Lord, and others in his church by making donations to Henrietta Christian Fellowship, 1085 Middle Rd., Rush, NY 14543.
