Michael Barbarita died in Rochester, NY at age 86.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Lucy Barbarita; brothers, Tony and Tom Barbarita; sons, Robert and Dominic Barbarita. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Josephine Barbarita; Brother, Bob Barbarita, sister Mary Cardarelli and children Michael Barbarita, Lucy (Jim) Collins, Josie (Pat) Fallon, Ronnie Barbarita, Richard (Heidi Massing) Barbarita; grandchildren Michael, Anthony, Kristan, Jenine, Jay, Bonnie, Gina, Joey, Dominic, Michael, Patrick, Jack; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Michael was a respected police officer for the Rochester Police Department for 36 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, going to the casino, telling stories, having good food and making people laugh. He was incredibly kind hearted and will forever be missed.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
