Thursday March 23, 2017 at the age of 96.
Predeceased by his wife Sofia, son Michael Chomik Jr.
He is survived by his son, Myron ; daughters Irene and Catherine Chomik; daughter-in-law, Slawka ;4 grandchildren; Alexander Sypniak, Adrianna Zaretsky, Melanya and Petro Chomik; great-grandchildren, Camden, Mikayla; Several nieces and nephews. He was a longtime member of St. Josaphats Church ,retiree of General Motors, Rochester Products Division, member of Ukrainian National Association, Branch 367.
Family will receive friends Friday March 31, 2017 from 4-7 pm. (Panachyda service 7:00 pm) at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Boulevard.
His Divine Liturgy will be held Saturday April 1, 2017 at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Sisters Of St. Josephs, 150 French Rd. Rochester, NY 14618. St. Josaphats Church, 940 Ridge Rd. East, Rochester, NY 14621 or Lollypop Farm , 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450.
