Michael David Hampton, Age 49, left us on February 10, 2019 at Strong Palliative Care, Rochester NY.
Mike is survived by his life partner Mary Sue Ghassemi, his parents Judy (Fred) Calladine of Clayton, NY and David (Betty) Hampton of Gouverneur, NY. Also surviving are 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Karen Autrey of LaFargeville, NY – Eric (Heidi) Calladine of Culpeper, VA – Paul (Jessie) Calladine of Queenstown, MD – David (Allison) Hampton of Alexandria, VA –Katie (Justin) Salter of Gouverneur, NY and Mary Sue's sons, Stephen Fiorino (his special angel) – Rochester NY and Shayan (Melissa) Ghassemi – Aurora, CO. His two aunts Lori Strough of LaFargeville, NY and LuAnn Marshall of Wellesley Island, NY, three uncles Kevin Strough, Catawba VA – Dale (Cyril Waugh) Hampton, Rochester NY, special nieces, nephews, cousins and many more extended family members.

Born in Rochester, NY at Genesee Hospital on September 23, 1969. Graduated from Watertown High School in 1988 and received an Associate Degree from Finger Lakes Community College. He was employed at VP Supply Corporation as the Corporate HVAC Purchasing Manager and has been in the HVAC industry for several years.

Mike enjoyed his love of music, hunting, fishing, kayaking, biking, attending hockey games and drinking his craft beers. Mike may never have had any human children of his own but he has had many 4 legged furry children that he adored immensely.


Friends may call 1-4pm Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Funeral services will follow calling hours at 4pm.
